Dr. Tracy Cowan, the newest addition to our Team of Outstanding Doctors, is a board–certified optometrist with fifteen years in practice.

A native of the Chicago area, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 1990.
Dr. Cowan did her doctorate studies at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.  She graduated magna cum laude, with high honors, in 1994.  Dr. Cowan was also recognized upon graduation as Student Clinician of the Year with the Feigenbaum Clinical Optometry Memorial Award.  After completing her studies, Dr. Cowan continued her training in the residency program at the Illinois Eye Institute, earning a Certificate of Residency in 1995.

Prior to moving to Florida, Dr. Cowan practiced briefly in Chicago and Los Angeles before moving to North Central Idaho. There, she started and ran her own practice for nearly eight years.  

She and her family now call Southwest Florida home.
