Dr. Layman joined Cape Coral Eye Center in 2001, and currently practices at the North Fort Myers office. He is a Board Certified Optometrist, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating with clinical honors.

Dr. Layman has served externships at the Veterans Administration in Daytona Beach and Gainesville Florida, Sheppard Air Force Base, in Texas and the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, Illinois.

Prior to joining the staff at Cape Coral Eye Center, he has worked at Bay Head Eye Center in Sanford, Florida and Pearle Vision in Gainesville, Florida.

Dr. Layman has a large practice of Glaucoma Patients, and also sees many other optical conditions.

Dr. Layman is an active member of the Southwest Florida Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.  He and his wife, Dr. Saracini are happy to make Southwest Florida their home.
