Welcome to the Glaucoma Program at Cape Coral Eye Center

As a glaucoma patient at Cape Coral Eye Center you are one of many patients that are part of the only structured Glaucoma Program in South West Florida. The Glaucoma Program was developed over ten years ago and was designed specifically with you in mind. We understand the importance of preserving your precious vision and want to do everything in our power to help you escape the damage caused by “the silent thief of sight”, also known as glaucoma.

Dr. Benjamin G. Martin, who has glaucoma himself, specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of glaucoma. With all the new medicines and the laser treatments now available to us, incisional surgery is only used for the most severe cases of glaucoma -- in other words, not very often.

The goals of the Glaucoma Program at Cape Coral Eye Center are:

What YOU can do to protect YOUR sight from Glaucoma

Follow the recommended pressure check regimen described by your doctor. Be sure to schedule your appointments and return to the office for your scheduled pressure checks and eye examinations.
Use your medications as directed at all times.
Stay informed, learn as much as you can about Glaucoma.
