Secondary Glaucoma

Secondary glaucoma is either open angle glaucoma or closed angle glaucoma which has been caused by some other condition or disease.  The symptoms and behaviors of this secondary glaucoma are exactly like chronic glaucoma.  However, it is possible that once the underlying condition or disease which originally caused the secondary glaucoma has been cured, the internal eye pressure may return to normal.  However, any damage caused by the secondary glaucoma will remain.
